Does a slewing ring need greasing? How and with what grease?

Method:

Inject grease through the grease fittings (zerks)​ on the outer ring or end face using a grease gun. Continue until the old grease is completely purged from the seals. Rotate the bearing during greasing to ensure even distribution.

Grease Type:

Typically, an extreme pressure lithium-based grease​ (such as NLGI Grade 2 or 3) is used. For special environments (e.g., underwater, high temperature), corresponding specialized greases are required. Never mix greases of different brands or types!
